Door at the bottom leads to hallway.
Would you add an archway wall as I have drawn in red with sliding doors so essentially extend the hallway and have a small room off to The side which will contain the downstairs toilet , would be useful for storage (lacking in this house ) and if doors were shut then a sofa bed could make a guest room or would you knock through a bigger opening between the kitchen and family room making it a semi open plan kitchen dining living room with a toilet in the corner and then the already separate living room can be utilised as more storage/ guest room , although it is a nice living room with a fireplace.
or any other ideas , so much to get done but can start anything because can’t decide on what to do .
