Thoughts on worcester park

I have seen a house I like in worcester park (sw london/ surrey) which is reasonably well connected and has a handy high street but seems rather dull.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the area?

Are the people friendly? How are thr trains in the morning - I heard they are absolutely packed?

Thanks

Depending on where you are looking in Worcester Park, if you're on the north side, apart from WP station, it might also be feasible to walk to Motspur Park Station through the Joseph Hood Memorial Park (during daylight) where there are two trains lines to Waterloo (and all the WP trains run through here too).
I love this walking route during the summer, past the horses - although it can be muddy if the weather's wet! If you're brave then after dark there is an alternative lit path adjacent to the cemetery.

WP high street is not exciting but has most things and there is also a big Sainsbury's & Aldi in N. Cheam. New Malden has more interesting restaurants and Kingston is great for shopping.

If you are in the (London) Sutton borough bit of WP then kids also get free bus travel which is brilliant for school travel and meeting up with friends.

I would say people are friendly. I've been here a few years and haven't met a nasty person so far...
