hello all 👋

I’ve just had an offer accepted on a house but my solicitor (a friend’s friend) is unable to proceed because they are off work for the long term.

I have to look for an alternative but is it best to have a solicitor local (south west) to the area or do you think it’s ok to find one up North (they are cheaper)?

thank you 🥺

Local to you is a good idea, as you may need to drop things off, sign documents in person.

Can you ask the solicitor who is unable to proceed to recommend an alternative, they will know all the local firms and who is efficient ?

Thanks for all your input. I will start searching for local conveyancers. Would prefer to have recommendations if possible.

Would be fab if anyone can recommend a local firm (I’m buying in Worcester Park - KT4) that they’ve heard about/experienced!
