Nice villages to move to near Hallatrow?

My fiancé and I are trying to find somewhere to relocate to as my workplace is being moved to Hallatrow, Paulton.
Does anyone have any recommendations or personal experiences of nice villages in the surrounding areas of Wells/Frome/Trowbridge/Bath?

We're currently from Weston-super-Mare and looking to move away from the general area to something a bit more rural with a community feel.

What are you wanting in the village? Nothing, shop, pub, post office etc?

Would be nice to have a local shop and pub, somewhere green to walk the dog too! Perhaps a play area also?

Do you have children? Will they be going to school?

This will be the home where we start our family, so we don't have children yet but schools and family friendly areas will be important for the near future

There is loads of places to walk so that shouldn't be a problem wherever you end up.

Croscombe near Wells is a lovely little village with a shop/pub. Primary school too but got a bad OFSTED recently.

Or Chilcompton closer to Hallatrow has a school/shop/ 2 pubs/ post office and play park.

High Littleton. Up the road from Hallatrow, Outstanding primary, 2 shops, pub, Greyfield Woods and a playground at the Rec.
