Velux in conservatory?

We are planning to have a new tiled roof put on our conservatory to replace the plastic roof, mainly to reduce rain noise and to insulate it. We are wondering about adding a velux to reduce light loss especially to the adjoining dining room but worry about the rain noise and heat loss from the velux after spending so much money on a new roof. It’s a 3x3m conservatory in a north facing garden (gets the sun first thing). The new roof will have a white vaulted ceiling and spot lights.
Has anyone got any experience or thoughts? It’s so hard to decide as we can’t mock up how much light we’ll lose with a solid roof.

We had one in exactly that situation (3x3, N facing, spotlights, vaulted ceiling). Worked perfectly fine.
