Help - can’t remove Ring Doorbell ‘no drill’ mount

I followed the instructions to remove the doorbell from the mount and pull the tabs, however the tabs came off and the mount stayed put!

The mount is stuck on by two adhesive strips and won’t budge. Is there anything I can do to remove this now that the tabs are broken? Thanks

I don’t know about that one specifically but have found sticky things in general are much easier to remove after a good blast from a hairdryer. If you can get one to reach.

If you have something like baby oil or some other sort of body oil, try getting that down the back. It dissolves the "stick" on plasters etc. might take a few attempts though.

heat should work, as it will soften the adhesive.

You can try to wiggle some dental floss between the adhesive and mount.

It won't remove all of the adhesive, but the residue will be easier to remove once the mount is off.
