In mid Jan HMLR came back to him and asked if he was sure he didn’t want rectification of title, which is what my solicitor thinks. Sellers solicitor has done nothing since then. HMRC advising that this would be sorted in 10 days. Sellers wife has just died so I am reluctant to call him. The estate agent is chasing sellers solicitor. My mortgage offer expires in May.
My solicitor is female and it feels like male London sellers solicitor just doesn’t want to ‘back down’ to a provincial female solicitor. Any idea on how to move this along please?
