Aquabion for limescale

We live in a hard water area and the level of limescale we have is as bad as it can get. We’ve had enough of replacing our shower every 2-3 years and considering investing in a Aquabion unit. It is expensive so if you have one and can give me your opinion/experience of it I’d appreciate it 😊

Hi, did you get anywhere with this? We can't fit a water softener in so an aquabion has been suggested but I'm not sure how good they are and can't find much. Our plumber suggested they were about £500 so on par with a water softener anyway.

Hi, we haven’t gone ahead as when I did more research I discovered that the aquabion isn’t guaranteed for long enough to be reassuring (5 years, I think it was) and there were some off-putting customer reviews - there are always some negative reviews, I know, but they were enough to sow seeds of doubt that I couldn’t shift. It could be brilliant, or an expensive mistake, but atm not a risk I’m willing to take
