Is this wallpaper suitable for a living room?

We have blue and gold furniture and walls painted blue just now . I find it too cold and unwelcoming. Can’t afford new furniture. Was thinking this in main wall and a deep pink on remaining walls. Any other suggestions?

That is gorgeous, although I would have it in my bedroom. If you search for wallpaper on Facebook you will suddenly get ads for lots of companies that might have something to inspire you. Alternatively there is a thread running about beautiful wallpaper.

no reason why you can't have it in the lounge if you like it. It seems bedroom-y because that's how they've used it, that all.

I think I’d have to see pictures of your furniture, particularly the colours, as I can’t see how blue would go with that wallpaper.

I do love the wallpaper though. A PP mentioned the wallpaper thread, that’s a great reference tool.

It’s fine. But for me I think I’d colour match the background green for the other walls though.

Nice paper, but I agree it’s quite ‘busy’ and very green for blue furniture.

I have a very stylish friend who would totally have this in her living room. You'd need to style the whole room though, to avoid it looking too busy/messy.

Not sure why posters think this wouldn't go with blue. I think it's an interesting wallpaper and looks a bit like it block printed with all the lines and textures. There is a photo in the comments about two months ago with it next to a navy blue wall so you might not need to repaint the other walls. Though a link would go with it too but I think that might make it feel a bit more bedroomy.

It depends on the shade of blue and what is the dominant colour in your scheme. I would say you need a deep inky blue to draw that together and make it feel more considered if currently you are matching your blue to the blue in the wallpaper

I'm not totally sure whether you're thinking of the sage or navy version - I like this but would go with one of the other colours for the painted wall(s) personally I'd go with the duck egg blue or green.
