Soundproofing a utility room

I'm creating a small utility room in my hallway and it will mean the washer and dryer are against the party wall. Our houses are concrete build (walls and floor) and are pretty good sound-wise. I don't hear anything from the neighbours on that side, the other side neighbour we hear but she is hard of hearing and has the TV volume up very loud and we can hear her talking sometimes.

I want to soundproof the utility space to ensure the washer doesn't disturb the neighbours.

I don't know if it will so I'm tempted to do a test by letting the neighbour know when the machine is running and seeing if she can hear?

What's the best way of soundproofing the space? It's small, only about 1.45m along the party wall. I've seen some rubber mats that go under the machines, I'll get the thickest of those. Is there something similar that can be put on the wall?
