Front door colours

I am very excited about our new (to us) front door. We found a reclamation place that will cut it to size, patch it up and build a frame etc.
Now I just need to choose a colour. We have a red brick house, and I'd like something bold - what would you go for? We don't have any coloured tiles or anything near the door. We will paint the wooden gate to match.

In my opinion you can't beat a glossy red front door, but I am partial to corals, yellows and periwinkle blues. A saturated pastel can also look really striking.

Have a look at Gipsy Hill Hardware for some ideas, and also their quirky knickers and letterboxes

Yellow! Bear in mind the direction the front door faces as if south that will fade deep colours. Our door was red and faces south so had faded to an awful rusty pinky colour over the years so I have painted it yellow and I love it.

Thank you. I love the idea of a bright red door, and also a gorgeous sunflower yellow. Every time I think I've picked a colour I feel sad for all the other colours Grin
I think a bright olive would look great with red bricks, but also love the idea of airforce blue.
It won't get any direct sun, except possibly at sunset. It faces west, but is set back from the front of the house on the north side.
Thank you for the website recommendation, I'll take a look.

Gypsy hill hardware is gorgeous. A deep teal looks great with red brick
