Wadsley Bridge?

We’re looking at properties all over at the moment, from Wakefield to Sheffield. We’ve come across a lovely house in Wadsley Bridge. Does anyone have any advice about this area please? We’re currently near Wakefield and not sure on Sheffield areas!

I'm from that area. It is beautiful. Close to woodlands and countryside!

We love getting out for walks so greenery is a must! Fab to hear that.

Wadsley Bridge is OK. I class it as part of Hillsborough. Getting to the M1 is a bit of a drudge. The traffic really snarls up around Tankersley roundabout. I have just checked, and it is currently 45 minutes to get to South Elmsall from Wadsley Bridge.

You might want to look at Penistone and the villages between Penistone and the M1, or Wortley or Thurgoland.

The shifts he works might let him avoid the traffic, but still isn’t nice being in an area regularly clogged with it! Thank you. I’ll try those areas :-) are they nice areas too? Besides the links to the M1

Wadsley Bridge is nice enough. Near Hillsborough, near a small shopping outlet (Kilner way). Easily driveable to Meadowhall/cinema/Centertainment/Fox Valley. Lots of nice walks nearby. Shift work should mean he'd hopefully miss the worst of the traffic up at Tankersley.

Yes, and with decent schools.

I have just been to Sainsburys in Wadsley Bridge. One thing to bear in mind is just how busy the area gets on match days when Sheffield Wednesday are playing at home.

I nearly scraoed my car a couple of times trying to manoeuvre between double parked cars.
