Auction fees for selling

I'm intending to sell a house in need of renovation at auction. This will be the first property I have sold at auction.

Two auction companies have quoted me commission of 2% + VAT if the house sells. Is 2% standard or should I push for a reduction?

That seems to be average, friend is doing the same...also worth chatting to local agents to see if they have cash buyers on books and then negotiate a fee for their services etc.
