Painting a basic radiator

Has anyone had any success painting a basic bog standard modern radiator a bright colour and it looking stylish?

I would ideally like to swap it for a bright cast iron one but it would be quite a lot to spend for the under stairs toilet.

It is currently white.

We half tiled in a lovely, quite unusual colour, papered with vintage paper (white base) and changed the light and accessories, but left the fixtures as we are planning to move in a few years.

They are standard issue new build ones and in think take the edge off the work we have done. It was a compromise we chose but I do slightly regret it now and am wondering whether the radiator could work to sharpen things up or if it would look like a half measure.

Suppose I'm thinking that it would draw attention to the radiator which isn't particularly nice looking!

I usually just paint them the same colour as my walls- plum, dark blue, a mid green etc. They're just standard radiators and I don't want them to be a focal point.

Yes! It’s super easy. Very good clean (take it off the wall if you can be bothered), good quality primer (like Zinser Bin 123) and the paint on top. If I were you, I’d take one of your tiles to a decorating shop and get them to colour match the paint to that.

yeah I just paint them the same colour as the wall so they disappear
If you go to a Dulux mixing place they can make up the right colour for you in a suitable paint

Thanks all! Fab idea to have the tiles colour matched. I might just go with that and have towel and rug in the colour I was thinking
