Where to buy?

DH and I are looking to buy our first house. We’ve rented in London for over a decade but our budget doesn’t allow us to buy here so we are looking into the surrounding areas.
We would like a 2 bed house (we would like to avoid flats due to increasing service charges, leasehold, etc).
Our budget is ideally £350k but we could stretch it to £375k for the right house. We are looking preferably into new homes, so that we can avoid any unexpected expenses/remodelations/works if possible.
DD will be going to nursery next year so we would like to have good nurseries and schools close by (walking distance if possible).
DH will need to comute to London for work so close to a train station with good connections to London is paramount (driving won’t be an option due to lack of parking at work). Ideally up
to 1h30 comute.
We would like a safe area, low criminal rate, a couple of parks for walks with the baby and a few shops with the essentials.
Can you please give any suggestions in terms of areas you would recommend based on the above?

Which station does your DH need to commute into? You don't want a long commute into London plus then having to cross town.
