To put a hot tub in my front garden

I'm purchasing a home in a very expensive city, so it only has a front garden.

I fully plan to put a hot tub in the front. Current owner is using it as a front garden.

There is a fence around it, but it's not particularly tall.

Knowing the way people are in this country, I am almost certain someone will have an issue with it, what can I do to make it less of an imposition on my neighbours?

I am alone so it'll just be me in there, so there shouldn't be any noise issues.

Unless You have planning permission, fences in the front garden can’t be higher than 1 metre (3.2 feet). You will need to plant something.

Grow some pampas grass for modesty 😆

Hot tubs normally have very heavy duty covers on them when not being used to keep the heat in.

Yes, large, flat and warm. Ideal snoozing place for the local feline population. 😺

Was the old adage not that jokes and the like stop after 12 or the jokester was labelled a fool?

Mock Tudor with a hot tub in the front garden? Pull the other one

Depending on your level of attractiveness the Postman might be disturbed at the sight of you in the hot tub and refuse to deliver your Mail.

You will need planning permission.

My parents had a hot tub in their rental properties, you do not need planning permission.

April Fools are only valid until midday 🙄

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 01/04/2024 17:06

Sounds expensive and I fear that doing so would detract from the house's mock-tudor beauty

But you aren't worried about a hot tub?

It's a dreadful idea.

Exactly and anyone posting an April Fool after noon becomes the Fool

takemeawayagain · 01/04/2024 17:29

What's the point of having a sex pond if you're not going to use it for it's intended purpose?

Are they at the front of the house though?
