Where in London fits the bill??

Help! I have spent months going around in circles trying to agree with DH on a neighbourhood in London. Our DD is about to go into Yr6 so starting to feel quite stressful.
Criteria:

  • Main priority is really decent non-selective secondary schools - for girls and boys
  • Budget 900k
  • Ideally N, E or SE London, purely because I don't know a single person in W London.
  • 4 bedrooms
  • Not a doer-upper
  • Maximum 40 minute door-to-door commute to both old street and canary Wharf.

I am not opposed to a flat, and don't really mind about outdoor space.

So far the main sticking point with most of the places we have thought seriously about (Walthamstow, Crofton Park) has been secondary schools for our boys.

If you don't mind a flat, £900k may be possible in Dulwich with access to the Charter schools, or Telegraph Hill with access to HABS.

Dulwich is a good shout, thank you! Assumed it wouldn't be possible with our budget
