Annoying landlord

Landlord has never been great at fixing things but has randomly started in the last couple month doing/fixing in my opinion pointless things for example the boiler was playing up and the timer function give in it was due it’s service anyway at the start of march and was booked for the 4th but then he decided to have the guttering painted on the 21st so had to move the boiler being dealt with to April apparently he didn’t have the gutters cleared or repaired they had a drip literally just got them painted.

He also sent someone out to paint the back fence but only the fence on the left as he doesn’t like the neighbors on the right.

hes now messaged saying someone is coming to look at the roughcast at some point this week.

Examples of things that actually need done downstairs radiators have been leaking for years he sends a plumber “friend” round To fix it and its a patch job as he’s been told repeatedly that the pipes in the house all need replacing

he randomly put a new kitchen in 2 year ago but was somehow a million times worse and more flimsy then the 30-40yr old kitchen that was in before hand its a very small kitchen and when he redid it he literally left a side of the kitchen with nothing and just stuck the fridge there

9yr ago when i moved in he said there was a new bathroom being fitted as the one in the house was falling apart and has leaks its never happened

1 bedroom has built in wardrobes with sliding doors that have been broken since i moved in asked to remove them and was told they were to expensive to have installed and if i removed them i would have to replace them when i moved out.

We can’t afford to move as been unable to save because of the rent were just stuck in a terrible cycle honestly don’t even know what i’m looking for think i just needed a rant really

I wouldn't assume he is preparing to sell he might just be catching up on maintenance. Ask him

Mines not been paying the mortgage so we're getting evicted. No housing avaliable in our area. Having to move to a 2 bed temporary accommodation for 6 of us and the won't accept pets so my son is losing his therapy dog

Doesn't the council have a duty to house people? That's why the government want to stop no fault evictions, as if people are evicted then they can apply to go on the social housing list and homeless people have priority. I couldn't stand my sexist ex landlord, and him evicting me was the best thing that happened, as now I have cheaper housing association
