We inherited a 12 year old Stovax multifuel stove. We only use kiln dried wood and get chimney swept every year. Who knows what previous owners did ... they were a bit slapdash.
When the weather is still is doesn't draw and there's a sooty smell...this never happened in old house where we'd had the chimney lined.
I'm keen to get it lined as I think that will help with the drawing, I'm also considering a new stove, one with a bigger window and that shouls also have more eco credentials.
Do you think it's worth it. Husband of view that stoves last for ever and anyway at some point they are going to get outlawed....
