Designing bathrooms - where to start

I'd like to get our bathrooms replaced but don't know where to start. Has anyone used an online designer or any software that can help put a scheme together for me?

You can sketch out the size of the room yourself with a ruler and pencil at 1.10 scale. (10cm is 1meter.) Then draw some rough drawings of bath/shower toilet and sink at the same scale (get measurements online) and cut them out to shuffle them around.

If you are handy or have used cad before then lots of programs have a 14-30 day trial period. Vectorworks is good for 2d but you would need to get the account activated by someone from the company

There is some free cad software but it's a bit clunky to me. Literally a line drawing software. Freecad is one but there are others.

I'm a designer btw. Done a lot of bathrooms for people despite working in landscaping!!

I would go somewhere like Easy Bathrooms and get them to design a plan for you. They will come out and measure up your bathroom. You don’t have to ultimately use them if you don’t want to but it’s a good starting place.
