Maybe a 3 bed in town: this one is in a good area for schools and the town centre 3 bedroom link detached house for sale in Moles Close, Wokingham, RG40 (rightmove.co.uk)

Lots of new builds in Finch like this: 3 bedroom detached house for sale in Acre Drive, Finchwood Park, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 (rightmove.co.uk)

You could get a 2 bed Victorian terrace in the town centre but parking and traffic can be very bad. This one has offstreet parking which would be very helpful: 2 bedroom cottage for sale in Howard Road, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 (rightmove.co.uk)

Avoid Norreys Avenue/Norreys estate generally if you can.

Do you need schools? Where will you need to commute to?

Wokingham station is slightly out of town. Traffic can be bad through town due to the level crossings and tons of new houses meaning they seem to shut roads for weeks to put in additional infrastructure and do repairs. A town centre bypass has been threatened for years but still seems nowhere nearer agreement. Lots of new build estates in what the council refer to as "strategic development zones" - one near St Crispins school, one near Emmbrook School and one near Bohunt School. Personally I'd rather live in Wokingham than Finch. Finch is a large village with limited public transport and amenities. Although it does have the best Chinese restaurant in the area and it very family orientated Smile
