Fleas!!

I need to make sure that my now unoccupied property is flea free for when it sells - we’ve done the flea bombs but what else do I need to do? Is there anything that will get the eggs/pupae or do I have to keep treating every few weeks when they hatch?

You have fleas in an empty house?

What are they eating? fleas feed on the blood of living animals.

You need to use Indorex spray. It kills adult fleas and kills any that hatch. It works up to a year so much better than the bombs.

Indorex ,Staykill or Rip spray - no beaphar or bob martin type cheaper versions useless.
No product kills fleas in the pupae stage.
I would spray again 3 months later if property still empty even though can says 12month application.
Also very regular vacuuming and use spray in cylinder or bag when emptied, not only will you suck up fleas /eggs but the vibration from hoover will speed up the flea development process -sooner hatched/sooner killed.

They can lie dormant for months in cracks in floors, carpets etc.

Indorex anywhere eggs could be possibly have fallen, including down the side of skirting boards. It'll last a year as a PP said so no need to re-spray but you need to hoover every day for 7 days where they were/where you sprayed, especially if you don't have any cat or dog hosts wondering around that encourage them to hatch, because you need them to emerge from the pupae stage and come into contact with the Indorex. Without their preferred animal hosts you need the vibrations from the vacuuming.

Fleas from ex tenant … cats left a month ago! Could murder her tbh - we are not local so vacuuming every day is impossible!

But I guess if it lasts for a year then when when people move in they will pupate and die! Hopefully!
