Hello!
We are having a new kitchen that is now part of an open plan space. We have recently decided not to use the much loved shiny black, bulky American fridge freezer as we want a more streamlined look, so researching integrated instead. The location is already decided, against the left end wall of a long kitchen run (as you face the units).
My American fridge is 360Litre, the freezer is 210Litre, so to have a similar capacity with the swap, we would need 2 that will sit side by side. Cabinet maker husband is building the kitchen so would like to make sure I have all the facts.
Can anyone please share their experience of having a tall single fridge and a tall single freezer, or 2 fridge/freezer combos (so both fridges top and both freezers bottom)
Does anyone know:
Which hinges are better - fixed or sliding
Can both integrated appliances be hinged on the left hand side (as the kitchen run is to the right of them)
Is 600mm wide the minimum width to accommodate both doors opening, factoring in the left hand wall, or is this just standard appliance housing
How many decibels is considered ”quiet”, as there will be 2 of them
Any advice, photos or experience of what not to have would be most welcome.
Thank you!
