Feeling so stressed about moving

So we accepted an offer on our property early Feb and quickly had an offer accepted on a house we really liked (our buyers are buying a second home for family to stay in and we’re buying chain free so only us that needs to buy and sell).

We got the survey back yesterday on and it was basically all red and surveyor said it was a money pit on the phone so have had to pull out. We’ve found another property we really like which we can’t view till Tuesday, if we like it on viewing it we’ll put an offer in on the day and try and get things moving quickly, but our buyer was hoping for a quick sale so I’m terrified that they’ll pull out since we’ve lost a month already.

Our first home was a new build so we had an easy run as FTBs but finding it all very stressful this time around! I know this is all par for the course but just wanted to vent.

Have you kept the door open to the first property you liked and offered on ? Is there a price for that one that would help you see past the survey ? Or is it a case of you don't want to take on something that needs time and work ?
It's always worth telling the agent that you would still buy the house, at a lower price, and have that figure in your mind if they sound open to it.
Surveyors do have a remit to point to as many issues as possible, that's what they are paid for.
