Just this… I bought some second hand IKEA cupboards (freestanding) on Facebook marketplace. To house some toys.
They seemed perfect but, a few days after getting them home, it became clear that the back of each one was damp. You could see the damp patches and they started to smell.
We have taken the back of each cupboard off, with the intention of buying new “backs” for them (we have not done this yet). Getting rid of the original “backs” has helped a bit, but the damp smell persists. I don’t know whether it is possible to fix or whether I should simply take the lot to the tip….
Any ideas?! TIA
