Typical cost of removals?

How much would you expect/have paid for cost of removals on a three bed semi? Quote we are considering is between 1,500-1,900 mark (if we opt for extras/level of service). Had cheaper quotes but the reps seemed less professional and helpful than the one we want to go for.

Is are we paying a lot there or is it really just worth it for the lack of stress?

Very much depends on where you are in the UK but that seems fairly reasonable to me.

Are they packing?
How far are you travelling?

I think I paid c£1600 in the NW with packing 3 years ago.

We're three beds and we've gone with a quote of 3 grand but we've got a lot of books and paintings and a garage full of stuff. Your quote sounds ok to me. Defo worth getting a better service and paying a bit more - we decided that too.

We paid for £1k for just moving nearly 4y ago in East Midlands for 3 bed semi, within same village.

We're not moving far, only a few streets away. We've opted for some extras on the quote so pushed the cost up.

At least seems to be in the realm of normal, I was worrying as last time we moved as FTB we didn't use removals so no idea what is typical! Thank you!

We got quotes from 1800 up to 3500. I was surprised at the variation. Moving only a mile or so.
