How much to move a bathroom upstairs?

Hello, our bathroom is on the ground floor, we want to move it upstairs into the room directly above. We are getting quotes of £8000 - £10,000 for Labour only (bathroom suite/fixtures and fittings is separate and on top of that). Seems very high? We are in the South East.

My quote for complete bathroom replacement in the same room was 9k.

You'll need piping putting in to the new bathroom upstairs, and all the old piping capped off.

The bathroom suites aren't generally that expensive.

So yes, it does sound reasonable.

Sorry, no idea about costs to move it, but we are just redoing ours and changing (quite drastically!) the layout, and It's going to cost around that at least in labour...So it doesn't seem particularly high to me (but our builder is not cheap)

To add a very basic WC (like under stairs toilet etc...) costs on average £1000.

If your adding baths/showers that cost more (will also require moisture proof plaster boarding and ventilating etc...) and plus extra costs of fancier choices like tiling etc...
