Has anyone had a composite front door sprayed

Mine is 20yo and a bit faded. A local company which sprays them has been getting great reviews and I'm on the verge of booking them in, but a friend who had her kitchen sprayed and was disappointed with the durability has advised against it.

Any other experience?

My brother did & the door looks absolutely amazing. Its a gorgeous colour & looks like a brand new door

Yes, we did, as ours was black and had faded in the sunlight. Has been done a few years now, I reckon, and looks good.

I painted my own with uPVC paint and it looks great two years on. Very durable (I think it was dulux)

I'll see if I can find a pic.

It's actually a holiday cottage (hence cheerful blue colour!)

Yes. We had ours sprayed a lovely lemon colour, 2 years ago and it's in perfect condition.

I painted my faded black composite door last summer with Frenchic UPVC paint. A lovely green (can’t remember the name though). It looks amazing. I’ve had so many compliments about it and my next door neighbour thought we’d had a new door!

You have to make sure it’s spotlessly clean and I gave it a light sand beforehand, used Frogtape to mask the glass and hey presto :). The total cost was less than £20 😵‍💫. Two coats in total.
