This is our first time selling and buying and I'm so confused with the process and steps we need to follow. I have looked online but can't find much help.
So far, we have accepted an offer on our house and our buyer is sold stc to a developer. We had our offer accepted on our onward purchase and our vendor is buying a chain free property, so there are 4 of us in the chain (I think!).
What we have done regarding our sale:
- Instructed conveyancer
- Filled out all paperwork
- Draft contract sent to buyer
What we have done regarding our purchase:
- Instructed conveyancer
- Filled out all paperwork
- Submitted mortgage application and received our offer
- Booked survey for next week
At what stage is it safe to order searches etc for our onward purchase?
