Replacing garage door?

Hi
we've an old, tired up and over garage door which wants replacing. We don't park the car in the garage, but there's room to. Access is mainly getting the wheely bins in and out and the lawn mower.
So I was looking at new doors and thought it would be so much easier to open and close side hinged garage doors. Has anyone any recommendations or thoughts? What sort of price might fitting costs be in the SW to remove old frame and slot in the new sh doors, any ideas?
Thanks.

We did this in our old house.
OH made the doors, he is not a carpenter (the trade you need) but is very practical and he made a lovely job and they looked fantastic.
The doors were made unequal so the one that is used 95% of the time was smaller but then the larger one could be opened to provide full, unrestricted access.

We did this last year - very similar situation. We now have a 3 way side hinged opening door with the middle section opening as an ordinary door if we want it, which is part of the double door.So a single at one side and double at the other.Or you can open the double door or both.

It's so much better! We had it insulated on the inside and opaque windows at the top. 2 lots of locks - yale and deadlock .
It's a 100% improvement for ease of use (no more banging head on cronky old door!) and looks great.
The biggest headache was choosing a colour as I didn't want the standard ones. Very happy with that too.

Cost was around £2,800 including fitting, and removing old door - West Midlands. No doubt there are cheaper options - insulation and windows were extra to basic price.

Oh forgot to ask, what brand doors? I was looking at Garagedoorsonline and their 'own' GDO brand (okay it's the cheapest!), but in the brochure it talks about Fortdoors. They look okay and I'm always drawn to the most expensive firstly, lol, but there's other things need replacing atm too.
