Garden gate lock to lock both ways

Can anyone recommend a weather proof lock for a garden gate to lock/ open on both sides? I need to be able to lock it from both inside the garden and also the other side when leaving.

What type of tradesman would fit this? A fencer or locksmith?

Try googling weatherproof double sided lock. We had a handyman fit this in addition to other jobs, so cant really say how much it would be to call a handyman out for that alone, but it was fitted within minutes and looked straight forward.

Yes for a wooden gate you'd usually fit something like https://amzn.eu/d/8Tq97sc
You just need someone to drill a hole.

I've got the one on the Amazon link above - it was relatively easy to fit myself as it came with all the screws and a drill bit to make the large hole. It's lockable with a key on both sides so we can leave via the back gate and keep secure.

A landscape gardening company? -eg run by a woman who was the landscape gardener and in effect both the fencer and locksmith for a gate job like this. A builder (not fencing) also did it. Put the fence up, and fixed in the gate and proper lock similar to a Yale front door - also gave choice of locks too.

So gardener (landscape), builder with experience of fencing and gates/locks or fencer.

Shop around, look for gates and locks you like in your local area and ask who did theirs, local community garden clubs and allotments often know people who can be trusted to do the job. Ask people who go to local church / synagogue/ mosque / temple too for their recommendations.

Get a few quotes, see their work.

Agree can be done self if you have the tools and mobility to do it.

(Lots of great women out there to employ too in my experience and if preferred).

This.
We had one of these in our previous house and now in our new house.
Dead easy to fit, even came with the correct sized wood drill bit. Anyone with a drill and can hold a screwdriver can fit it in 30-mins.

Does appear to need lubrication and regular use to stop it seizing up.
