Granite covered worktops

Hi, has anyone had granite overlay to transform existing worktops? It's so hard to gauge if this is out of our price range as all the companies want to send a salesman around and don't show prices per m. I have a galley kitchen and would need 2 x 3m stretches done, one has a sink obviously. I just need a ballpark figure eg will it be around 2k including fitting or am I way off? Many thanks

Somebody had this done not too long ago, in quartz iirc. Think it might have been @GasPanic 🤔

@CellophaneFlower thanks, hopefully she'll see this eventually

@BellaPommefritio have you had new quartz rather than overlay quoted? we had ours replaced and i'm sure it was less than 2k (but my memory is pants!)

@startingoveragainagain Thanks, I haven't had anything yet, am stuck between wanting a company to come and fit a white quartz overlay over my existing sold wood ones, and going with a white quartz covered worktop in Homebase which comes out as £1800 for 2x 3m strips. Less than 2k for worktop and fittings would just about be do-able for us- what company did you use if you don't mind sharing?
