Solicitors expecting you to print everything!

I cannot believe I've had to print everything out for the sale and purchase of my house.

They did give me the option to get it sent out if I didn't have a printer.

£2500 fees and I've got to print my own forms out 🤔

I honestly cant believe its not all online, someone on another thread said they signed their contracts digitally- why don't they all do that!!

Thewelshcastle · 21/02/2024 17:34

If they gave you an option to post them out ...not really sure what the issue is?

Rollerskaty · 21/02/2024 17:34

They did give me the option to get it sent out if I didn't have a printer.

Why didn’t you just ask them to send it out then?

BG2015 · 21/02/2024 18:06

Because then it all takes time doesn't it.

So, they literally don't expect you to print everything then?

Totally agree. All their work is done through a portal but I have to print off PDFs and hard sign them. This has resulted in me going to the local library to print everything off 16p a sheet!!! 😂 and annoying library staff who are printing it all off !

I guess because they are ‘legal’ you need a wet signature 🤷‍♀️

Recycledblonde · 21/02/2024 18:27

This is why we've chosen a solicitor walking distance from our house. Anything that needs signing we pop round. The postal service is awful here, we get post about once every ten days.

idontlikealdi · 21/02/2024 18:28

You don't need a wet signature for
Legal. Docusign is used all the time.

sweetpickle2 · 21/02/2024 18:55

A good point @Rubyreddgirl - I should have said, why dont they all give the option for that.
