Most depressing Rightmove listing ever?

I wish my son had that much room in his shared flat in East London! He's in his first job and can only afford a tiny bedroom - smaller than that one, with a small shared kitchen and HORRIBLE shared bathroom. It's soooo grim.... But he's young and is just pleased someone pays him every month 😁

Well yeah, it's a bed sit. With more of the bed and less of the sitting.

I recognise the kitchen (same as mine). Which has probably been extracted from a new build somewhere.

I would actually pay money for some of those cabinet doors, as I have two that are shot but the rest are perfect.

Wowsers. It's not really comparable, but not that long ago my mortgage payments for a detached 3 bed with a large garden in a nice village was the same per month.

It is a bit awful, my mortgage in a 4 bed semi is less than that per month (I am up North).

This is ridiculous. My mortgage for a 3 bed terrace (South East seaside town) is less than this.

Weird pricing history.

I thought it looked ok until I realised that all three photos were of the same small room! As a student, I lived in a shared house and had a bedroom very similar to that one (the original room, and window, had been split in two with a stud wall). It was tiny - but we had also had a shared kitchen, bathroom and living room so there was access to a lot more space, and very sociable. It looks as if the landlord has tried to cram as many bedrooms in as possible here though. Miserable.

Wow! That is awful. What's weird is that close by, there's a 1-bed flat for £50 more a month. It's still small, but it at least has a bedroom and bathroom:

The striking thing about the flats for rent up to (and some above) £1000 per month in Brighton is the lack of renovation, especially bathrooms and kitchens. They must know they can basically charge what they like and people will still take them. How depressing.

That's sad.
Even sadder to think there are worse places out there with mould etc giving people health problems
