Has anyone used coloured grout pens like these? lilleytileandstone.co.uk/mapei-fuga-fresca-colour-grout-pens-see-options.html

I'm wondering if they're okay, I've used white before to refresh white grout but wondered if a coloured one would liven up the space or end up messy

I've just used this on 30 square metres of kitchen and utility flooring in a new build as we had patchy in colour light grey grout - it looked dirty to me. This product was recommended to me by a Master craftsman Tiler we have used in the past. It was fantastic - takes a while to do, I used a damp microfibre cloth to get the excess off after I did a block of 6 tiles - I'm very picky and the results were fantastic - only 1 coat was needed which was amazing as some of the grout repairs the builder did were very dark in comparison to the original light grey grout. I would recommend you search for the product - this website is expensive for this item - I bought 2 bottles - I still have some left in the first bottle.

I have used a white grout pen before and thought it was rubbish (not the pen you mention though).

I instead used a grout reviver paste and that worked really well for me, but is hard to apply just to the grout and you end up spending quite a bit of time wiping/polishing off the excess. But when it is finished it looks good. Lasts about 2-3 years before needing redoing.
