New carpets stink 🤢

New carpets fitted upstairs today but smell really fishy!! Really horribly. Someone please tell me they’ve experienced this before and that it will go? I’ve had new carpet previously and never have I smelt this before!

Yes. That's the beauty of synthetic fibres (or underlay)! The smell does go after a few hoovering sessions.

Fingers crossed it lessens tomorrow as sleeping with window open tonight
