Our Dream House - best and final today!

As the title suggests.....out dream house goes to best and final offers today. We will be putting in an offer but I'm finding the whole thing a little stressful as I know there are a LOT of people interested.

The house went on the market a year ago and had lots of offers (including ours, which wasn't accepted) but fell through 6 months later. The second time it went on we offered again but someone went big and we weren't prepared to match it as it was a ridiculous offer! Surprise, surprise that fell through and it's back on the market again.

It feels like this is our last chance to get this house. Not really sure why I'm posting, just for a handhold i guess!

Fab news. Ignore the idiotic poster above. I genuinely believe these things are meant to be sometimes. We didn’t offer on our house even though we loved it, almost bought somewhere else 150 miles away and 18 months later, it was the first house listed on Rightmove when we started looking again.

Enjoy the renovations!

Well, I've just had a phone call from the estate agent to say our offer has been accepted!!
I'm in shock as we'd convinced ourselves we'd lose out again.

I'm keeping myself grounded as I know we're still a long way off but it's still exciting!

Great news!
Anyone else facing this - I sold one of my homes to best and final. Three bids, one below ask was rejected. Two above - one way above. All wrote nice letters etc but frankly I went with the most proceedable, which was not the highest.

I thought I'd come back with an update as our builders finally finished last weekend and we (finally) have the house to ourselves.

As predicted, buying a house from the Church of England was not quick or straightforward but we got there in the end.
We got the keys in July and were fortunate enough to find an amazing building company who project managed the whole thing for us. The house has been rebuilt from the inside and we've managed to create a space that works perfectly for us as a family.

The situation with our neighbour escalated so I'm doubly pleased to be out of that situation.

We're skint....but happy!

We did! Me and DS did it while on a walk past the house as the garden backs on to a public footpath.

The previous occupant was the vicar who christened DS and he's offered to come round to show DS where he used to put bird feeders... although I think he's also desperate to come and see what we've done to the house 😂😂
