Ok so long story short, we have had no luck with rugs with jute backing, had let accidents etc and once it gets into the backing the smell is impossible to remove, we have tried everything trust me. We have heavy foot traffic so need to ensure rug is washed regularly. Is there a rug that doesn't have backing to it that we can put in wash? Ideally take to launderette, maybe even tumble dry? I have no idea if rugs like that are available all I know is I can't be dealing with rugs that have that backing to it had nothing but issues no matter what products we use on it!
