Removing coving

How easy is it to remove coving yourself or do you need to get in a professional?

Plaster victorian/edwardian coving then an expert job
1990s foam bead coving- just pull it off.

We removed it from a couple of rooms in our late 90s house. We were really careful about how we removed it but there was still a lot of making good to do. It ended up taking a lot longer than we’d anticipated because of this, but definitely doable as a DIY project.
