Painting exterior of house

Hello,

I’ve had a quote for painting the outside of my house (pebbledash 4 bed semi) at £3200. Is this a reasonable amount? If you’ve had your house painted recently what did you pay? We’re in London in case that makes a difference.

Is it to paint the whole of the house i.e. sides and back as well or just the front?

I'm in London too and recently had just the front of a standard Victorian Semi painted (pebble dashed too, two coats and also the window sills/surrounds, guttering facia boards) and paid our window cleaner who also does exterior decorating £900. It took him and another guy 2.5 days to do it. I paid for the paint separately. I did get a quote from a 'proper' painter and decorator and he was quoting £1,350.

If your quote is for walls, window surrounds/sills and facia boards I don't think that's too far off.

It’s for just the front of the house. Sounds like it might be a bit high.
