EA not declaring property was shared ownership

Anyone have experience of this? Property marketed for full market value and further down the line after offer accepted and searches and survey done, it comes to light that the property is owned on a shared ownership so more legal paperwork to be done as our money won’t go to one person. Our solicitor didn’t notice, we picked it up reading some of the documents she forwarded to us…Is this something the estate agent should have made obvious from the beginning, therefore the extra legal costs should be covered by them?

Did the vendor inform them?
Do the HA or whoever even know they are selling?

We sold to a couple who were selling a shared ownership property. We were not told until weeks later. It took weeks to sort out.The rented part was a HA,n the end I spoke to the EA if he didn’t sort it I would.I rang the HA and ask exactly what was going on,it seems they act very slowly. We wouldn’t have sold to them if we had been told at the beginning. You need to keep pushing.
