Linoleum or vinyl?

I don’t like tiled floors. They give me the heebee jeebees - I imagine slipping in the bathroom and cracking my head, or dropping something in the kitchen and it smashing into a gazillion pieces.
I have decided on Lino or vinyl for my kitchen and bathroom/toilets. I like the fact they are warmer and softer.
Any advice on whether to get lino or vinyl? We will be in the house for another 20 years, possibly more. Kids are KS2 and KS3 (so not tiny).
Thanks.

How soon/regularly do you intend to replace them?

We got cushion flooring which I suppose is closer to vinyl, only upstairs though in the bathrooms. It does dent easily with high heels etc so I wouldn’t have it downstairs. I do love it though, the carpet fitter supplied and fitted. Can always replace it in the future easier than tiles. Hard to get a modern pattern I liked though.

Look up marmoleum. Amazing stuff.
