Hurstpierpoint Sussex?

Anybody here have any opinions?
Been offered a property there so will be moving with a 6 year old, 2.5 and newborn!

Is it family friendly?

Yes it’s very nice.

Would you say it's safe? And can travel to Brighton easily?

Yes and yes (if driving getting into Brighton can be challenging). Lovely place (HPP)

As teens we used to get the train to Brighton from Hassocks.

I didn't actually live there, but DM is from there and lots of family were there. We spent all our weekends and holidays there with my GPs. I always wished I did live there. I could walk up Wolstonbury Hill in my sleep!

Hurstpierpoint is great, loads to do if you like the outdoors. Lots of walks in the surrounding area too

Great for young kids. Countryside around that area is lovely too - many walks in South Downs. 25 mins to Brighton by car. Train from Hassocks to Brighton about 8 minutes.
Has a few nice independent shops and a community feel. My kids go to school there and so I’m often hanging around between matches. Some lovely houses too -
all sorts of styles and much better value than Hove or Brighton.
