How would you set up this living room?

wondering if anyone can give me some ideas so that I can stop hating my living room in my house!

It needs painted, new flooring and new furniture. I don’t like it at the moment because it is north facing so quite dark, the furniture doesn’t seem to ‘fit’ well because of the doors / bay windows (green are couches, grey are side tables) and the room feels long! I like colour and light but also cosy. I need 3 separate seating areas ideally. New build so ceilings are low and only one light in middle.

I’m terrible at visualising how something will look so any suggestions very much appreciated!

@IlovemyshedI actually really like this plan too (thanks for going to the effort of drawing!) and would be much cheaper than blocking up doors etc!

I think the sofa blocking the route to the living room is the biggest problem. I would get rid of this and put a very small sofa / very large armchair under the bay window instead. I would keep your tv where it is / maybe move it slightly more towards the window.

I love double doors and wouldn't get rid of them. Why don't you frame them with bookcases. If it's very narrow then ikea billy range might fit, and they have the benefit of looking inbuilt.

You can't put more windows in but you can get a mirror that looks a hell of a lot like a window. I would have it reflecting something pretty like a gallery wall.
