Wickes idea of a perfect kitchen - Buyer beware

We all want a nice home don’t we? We have a kitchen and bathroom fitted by Wickes and it is really buyer beware! The floor started coming up and someone from Wickes turned up to say that the floor and some of the units were rotten due to an incorrect washing machine installation by their installer. They have taken the floor up which is a total disaster for the little ones and left us in a mess. Since then we have been in an endless communication loop with Wickes and the person on the phone even admitted that they just take down the details and pass them on to their “Corrective Actions Team” but they never hear anything back from them. And this is within the “warranty” period!! Buyer beware! They are not cheap but their service really is.

We haven't had anything this bad, but I agree the service from wickes is pretty shoddy. We ordered a bathroom, and once the order was placed they wanted to get everything delivered ASAP. Only a teeny tiny problem with that....the fitters weren't available for 6 months! Then we got hit with an extra final bill because the fitters had initially under quoted.

You need to be on Twitter/X uploading pictures and quoting how they fob you off.

We used Wickes for our bathroom and although Wickes them selves were OK, the fitter we got ( through them) was fabulous. Really good, a problem solver, hard-working and did extra bits too. Kept him on file!

There's a really good group on fb called wren kitchens disasters. Obviously not a wren issue (for once). But its a good group for a browse to know your rights and say the right thing to get what you need/want.
