20mm and 30mm kitchen worktops

Hallo
my builder has suggested that we mix the thickness of our quartz worktops in new kitchen. 20mm on worktop surfaces and 30mm on the island. I imagine it could look quite good but wondered if anyone had done this and is happy with the look. Any pictures would be appreciated. I’m the only one making the decisions on all things decorating so feeling the overwhelm of choice. Thanks

Factor in whether you are planning to have an induction hob, as the depth of the hob amy affect the function of the top drawer you may have directly underneath.
Generally speaking, 30mm thick worktop will allow to have an induction hob with functioning cutlery drawer underneath.
