Do I have to match mock Georgian windows?

Hello,
I am in the process of buying a property thar is from the late 1960-1970s. The close has houses all in similar style. Apart from the balcony door and doors at the back all windows have the mock Georgian bars. I need to replace mine as they are single glazed. But do not know if I have to match the bars or not. Could I get plain clear glass?
Does anyone know? Thansk

Pretty sure you won't need to match them, it's not like it's a listed building or anything.

This might be true but check with your local planning dept.
If it's a conservation area or anything there might be restrictions

I don't know if it's a possibility or not but can you have covenents requiring certain types of windows? I've no idea but you could check with you Solicetor

I don’t think there are covenants explicitly mentioned. And it’s not a conservation areas. However it is a close and all houses look the same and they all have those bars … what to do?

Ask your solicitor 😂the only one who can truly advise you!

How on earth would we know?! Ask your solicitor!

It's a planning issue not something for a general conveyancing solicitor, so I don't know why people are using laughing emojis or exclamation marks.

I know a lot about changing windows in listed buildings and in conservation areas and my understanding is that it's pretty much free rein if this doesn't apply.
