Replacement kitchen doors question

I'm currently talking to a carpenter about replacing the cabinet doors in my kitchen. He's visiting soon to measure all the existing doors and work out what I need to buy.

He's keen to use Howdens but I want to look at other options to make sure I'm getting a good deal.

I'm confused by the variations in size of the doors. Is there a standard height or will there be a bit of tolerance if I replace the existing doors with something that is possibly 1-2mm smaller?

Currently I have Symphony doors. They appear to be 717mm high (measured with a new tape measure but not a steel rule) I will be using the dimensions as measured by the carpenter before I order anything.

DIY kitchens have doors that are 715mm high

Howdens are 716mm (I think - I can't find the info in their brochure but it's in the fitting instructions)

Wickes are 730mm so I've ruled them out

I've had a Howdens kitchen in a previous house and was very pleased with it but I am aware of the pricing structure and want to make sure I get the best value. Do people rate DIY Kitchens? Can you suggest anywhere else? I'm not keen on using Wren.

There's a real mixture of sizes to contend with too - although nothing non standard as far as I can tell.
