Hi! Looking to move out of London with a young baby, what do you guys think about Wavendon, MK? Looked into Bloor homes development near Wavendon golf club as we d like a new build.
Does Wavendon have a high street? Does it have a nice community? Primary schools? Would you recommend or should we look somewhere else and if so then where? Thank you so much!

Hi
Do you drive? There is very little in short walking distance.

There is a nice pub in Wavendon itself. No high street. Closest one would be Woburn Sands but that’s quite a walk away. Next along would be Aspley Guise and then Woburn. Traditional old high street some indi shops, restaurants etc. in both Woburn Sands and Woburn.

In the other direction there is Kingston Centre (retail park) which has Tesco, Costco, Home Sense a few others and some restaurants/cafes/fast food places.

MK city centre is about a 10 min drive away.

Wavendon/woburn sands/aspley guise are one of the nicer areas of MK, but I can’t comment specifically on the new build estate parts which have popped up there over the last few years.

I don’t know what school catchment the new estates fall under I suspect it’s may be Glebe Farm which is new and is a straight through so primary all the way up.

Wavendon Gate is the original Primary. Secondary from there would go in to MK, so Walton High, Oakgrove, Brooklands are closest but again you’d need to check catchments.
