My son moved to Hinckley after uni for his first job but it’s too dull. He went to uni at Bath, loved Bath also lived in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent which also has so much going on and loved. So please Can anyone recommend areas, no more than hour drive from Hinckley, that would be good for a young professional, lively, smart area where he could live? Looking for something that has a buzzy atmosphere and a centre/heart to it. Not keen on big cities like Birmingham. Thought of Market Harborough and have heard about Clarendon Park (but recently heard CP is very student oriented which may not suit) having said this not visited either yet. Have visited Lemington Spa but didn’t live up to expectations of what we had read. Help! It’s so difficult when you don’t know a region 🤦‍♀️ any recommendations much appreciated.

I live in the area and my first thought was Leamington Spa. Nuneaton and Coventry are a no no. I'm not sure of the area between Leicester and Hinckley perhaps someone else will advise. Tamworth along the A5 has the Snowdome and the spudman that's in the news is based there 😊

University towns are often a good bet for life and culture, if you can afford to live away from the main student area!
